PushApp is a fitness app in which two people compete in real time doing the same exercise. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not collect.
Your camera video never leaves your phone. Rep counting runs entirely on your device. We do not record, store, transmit or have any access to your camera feed. The only thing that reaches our servers is the resulting rep count.
Account information. When you create an account we store your username, email address, and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store your password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive and store a Google account identifier and your email address instead of a password.
Profile picture. If you choose to upload one, it is stored on our servers and shown to other users on your profile, in matches and on leaderboards.
Match and performance data. Rep counts, match results, win/loss record, rating, and per-exercise statistics. This is the core of the service — it produces your rank and determines who you are matched against.
Social content. Friend connections, group memberships, challenges you send or receive, and messages you send in direct or group chats.
Device token for notifications. If you enable push notifications we store a notification token and your platform (iOS or Android) so we can tell you when someone challenges you or a match is found.
Technical logs. Our servers keep normal operational logs to diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
The camera permission exists for one purpose: to count your reps during a match. Video is analysed frame by frame on your own device to detect body position, and then discarded. Nothing is written to storage and nothing is sent over the network. If you decline the camera permission you can still use the rest of the app, but you cannot compete in a match.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your username, profile picture, rating, tier and match record are visible to other users — on leaderboards, in matches and on your public profile. Messages you send in a chat or a group are visible to the people in that conversation. Your email address is never shown to other users.
We rely on a small number of providers to operate the app:
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Operational logs are kept for a limited period for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
You can request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. When an account is deleted, your profile, profile picture, statistics, friendships, messages and notification tokens are removed. Match records involving other players may be retained in anonymised form so that their own history and ratings remain accurate.
PushApp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at the address below and we will respond.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
